Early Postpartum Fitness Classes

$240 FOR 6 WEEK SESSION. ($40/class) Requires commitment to all 6 classes

Billable through extended health benefits (requires a physiotherapy assessment $180).

  • +6 weeks up to 18 months postpartum

  • Have been cleared by primary medical provider to return to exercise

  • Wanting to reconnect and strengthen your body postpartum or are looking to get back to high

    impact exercise such as running

  • Tailored to enhance strength and mobility during the early postpartum phase.

  • Exercises targeting the pelvic floor, core, glutes, and overall body strength.

  • Boosts awareness and strength of core and pelvic floor muscles.

  • Upper body strengthening to assist in lifting and carrying your baby.

 

CLASSES

6 x60 minute small group classes that combine pelvic floor education and a great workout!

Classes designed and supervised by a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and taught by a Pregnancy and

Postpartum Core Corrective Exercise Specialist

  • Classes include:

    • A home version of the work-out so you can continue on your own

 

Class Education:

  • Class 1: Pelvic floor and core muscle anatomy and function, good bowel and bladder habits

  • Class 2: “common but not normal” pelvic health conditions such as urinary incontinence (stress

    and urge) and prolapse

  • Class 3: Healing our core and Diastasis Rectus Abdominis (DRA)

  • Class 4: Posture/alignment and tips and tricks for lifting and carrying your baby

  • Class 5: Sleep, nutrition, and hormonal changes postpartum and their impact on tissue recovery

    and healing

  • Class 6: How & when to return to high impact exercise
